My Sister and I's First Plane Trip.

This week I experienced my first airplane ride: I overcame a fear that I thought would never leave me.

Early Monday morning, my family jumped in the car and headed to the Lubbock airport. My mom helped my sister and I as much and as far as she could. Getting through security was a bit tough. Most people, including my little sister, got released quickly.. but not Stephanie. Ha! Yes, they checked me, patted me down, and checked my carry-on about 3 times. Finally got through and headed to our gate: Gate 7.

The plane arrived on-time at 7:45 a.m.. When they called for "B" passengers, we boarded our plane. Yes, I shed a few tears during take-off but they didn't last very long.

When you look down from an airplane window, you see exactly what is shown in pictures.. but it's that much more breathtaking. We experienced rain while flying: very cool to see.

Soon our flight came to an end and our Adventure's in Albuquerque began.

Casey picked us up and headed we headed to the family's apartment. We unloaded our stuff, and then all jumped in the car and headed to his parent's house. We swapped cars and went to the mall. Afterwards, we had planned on going back home to relax.. but plans quickly changed.

While driving, Casey instantly stopped when we noticed the 2 cars in front of us lightly hit each other. Cars pile-up behind us quick as I could think, "Thank God we missed that accident." It was bad, but God was good. Had we been in the little car instead of the truck, we would have been hurt a lot more than we were. When the officer finally let us go, we went to the ER. The doctor was nice and the nurse was wonderful (: They took care of us very well. The nurse, Sam, gave me some lovely medicine that made the rest of the night.. one I'd forget.

The rest of the trip was good and the flight back was amazing. We flew through the night and through a lightning storm. Thank God for the experience.
